The wearing of costumes has become an important allotment of such holidays and festivals as Mardi Gras and Halloween (see Halloween costume for further information), and (to a lesser extent) people may also wear costumes in conjunction with other holidays, such as Christmas and Easter. Mardi Gras costumes usually take the form of jesters and other figment characters, while Halloween costumes traditionally take the die of supernatural creatures such as ghosts, vampires, French Maid Costume pop culture icons and angels.
The eyes are the most expressive part of the face. To enhance their dressing dancers should draw deliberation to and make their eyes appear larger. However, to maintain unity, the intensity of the eyes must be balanced with color and shape of the lips. The paint of the lips needs to be complimentary to the skin colorant and costume (Art of Production 123).
